Mount Abu is located on the southern tip of Aravali Hill Ranges and due to which it has a cool climate with rich flora and scenic beauty. Known as the Oasis of Rajasthan, Mount Abu is located 400 feet above sea and is one of the best peaks in India.

Mount Abu is a home of several Jain temples, Caves, Lakes, Wildlife Sanctuary, Crocodile Park, Guru Shikar and museum. Mount Abu has been always a home to many sages and saints. According to the legends, all the three hundred and thirty million gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon used to visit this holy mountain.

Dilwara Temple

Jain Dilwara Temple was built by Chalukya in the 13th century and is located around 2.5 km away from Mount Abu, Rajasthan. It is one of the finest temples known word over for its architecture and marble carvings.

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Mount Abu Sanctuary is major and famous attraction of Mount Abu and is located in the Aravali Mountain Range in the state of Rajasthan. Mount Abu Sanctuary covers an area of 288 kms and is a restricted are and an eco tourism zone.

It was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1960 and consists of 112 plant families with 449 genera and 820 species. Of these, 663 species are dicots while 157 species are monocots. Many of these species are very rare and threatened. There are more than 250 species of bird- including the popular grey jungle fowl. The Mount Abu Wildlife sanctuary is a natural house for the leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, sambar, chinkara and Langur. Many of the animals in the sanctuary are extremely rare and threatened.

Gurushikhar

The Gurushikhar is the highest peak on the mountain in Mount Abu at 5,650 feet above sea level. If you are visiting Mount Abu, you need to visit Gurushikhar to have a picture perfect view of Mount Abu, Aravali Hills, Temples, Mountains and thick forest.

Trevor’s Crocodile Park

Just 5 kms away from main city of Mount Abu, you will find man made tank which was built and named after British engineer Trevor.

Trevor used this tank to breed crocodiles and gives its visitor now splendid view of wildlife and bird watching. This is a popular place for picnic among the locals and its visitors.

Adhar Devi Temple

Located 3 kms from Mount Abu is one of the most religious tourist destinations. Adhar Devi temple is situated inside a cave and can be reached by climbing 365 stairs carved in the mountain.

Adhar Devi temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and contains many beautiful statues.

Nikki Lake

Nikki Lake was dug by Gods or Devtas using their nails or nakh that's why the name Nikki Lake as per the legends. Nikki Lake is surrounded by mountains, gardens and rocks which makes it a perfect location for nature lovers and photographers.
