Job Security:Job security is better and secured in Government sector compared to Private Sector. During the recession times Government jobs are considered as more reliable and secured.
Perks & Benefits: Government employees end up getting a lot of perks and benefits during festival season and on year end. Many of them work throughout their life in government sector and leave with VRS or retirement benefits facilities only.
Working Hours:Working hours is very flexible and relaxing in Government jobs. Employees come in and leave as per their convenience whereas in private sector in and out timings are monitored on regular basis.
Salary: Salary component in government sector is similar to private sector after introduction of sixth pay commission. So no more complains, with added benefits and perks given separately to government employees.
Holidays: Government employee is eligible for all national and state level holidays which is not the case in private sector.
Stress Free:Government jobs are considered as secured and peaceful jobs. Since there is no one monitoring the in and out timings and also more number of eligible holidays, life of government employee is better than private sector employee.
Promotions:Promotions are not frequent in government sector and are related to tenure of service. More the tenure, the better and higher promotion you will get.
